The new BHT boring system is characterized by the new HT coupling suitable for medium-heavy machining, characterized by strong torsional components with maximum concentricity.

BHT bars cover a working range from Ø 250 to Ø 1.000 mm, both in roughing and finishing.

The wide range of accessories includes adjustable ISO-CA roughing cartridges and a standard TRM 63 finishing micrometric head, suitable for boring, chamfering and back-facing operations.

The system in FINISHING configuration can be balanced by using counterweights.

HT coupling

New coupling system with high torque

The HT system is characterized by having a very high capacity of resistance to torsion thanks to its shape which recalls the truncated cone of the PSC modular system. The HT5 and HT8 connections of the system are available for all types of machines on the market (DIN 69871, MAS403BT, HSK, PSC and MHD’ adaptors).

FEATURES:

  • - Suitable for medium-heavy machining, characterized by strong torsional components with maximum concentricity
  • - Total absence of play of the coupling, thanks to the pulling force exerted by the central tie rod and the polygonal shank connection
  • - Significantly reduced dimensions
  • - It facilitates the axial coolant way
  • - The arbors are made with hardness HRc 55-60
  • - The tool bodies can be made with lower hardness
