BHT: NEW BARENING SYSTEM for LARGE DIAMETERS.

The new BHT boring system-the latest addition to the D’Andrea family-is the right tool for rough and finish machining of large diameters. Designed in two basic sizes, it allows the machining of holes from 250 to 750 mm, and a third base will very soon be added to its range to further expand the working range.
Cartridge holder bar
The system features a basic body to which a bar is attached, which allows the insertion and adjustment of roughing cartridges and thus gives the possibility of employing carbide inserts in the most popular ISO shapes and geometries (CCMT12, CNMG12, SNMG15, TNMG22).
Coolant distribution
A dedicated kit allows coolant to reach the cutting face through a series of small tubes from the machine cone to the insert.
MHD attachment for perfect concentricity
For finishing, it is not necessary to purchase dedicated heads because by inserting 2 counterweight bases with our well-known MHD’ attachment, it is possible to mount the well-known TRM63 on one side and on the opposite side, use a counterweight base also with MHD’ attachment.
This configuration balances the machining and allow the achievement of perfect hole concentricity and realization of the required tolerance.
New HT modular system to join the BHT system to the machine cone
The HT system is characterized by very high torsional strength due to its shape that recalls the truncated cone shape of the PSC modular system. The system’s HT8 couplings are available for all types of machines on the market (DIN 69871, MAS403BT, HSK, PSC and MHD adapters).
