TA-CENTER are NC heads uniquely designed for machines with automatic tool change and applicable on any machining center. The feed control, the toolholder slide movement and tool positioning – even during rotation – are controlled by an external U-DRIVE gearbox unit, which is managed directly by the U-axis of the numerical control system.
A machining center equipped in this way can perform a wide range of complex operations, including: inner and outer turning, grooving, variable taper boring, concave and convex radiusing, cylindrical and conical threading, spiral profiling and spherical machining.
